This award is one category of OTA's Research Awards, which acknowledge a member’s contribution towards the advancement of the research base of occupational therapy in four categories: early career researcher, mid career researcher, clinical researcher, and research team.
This category refers to research conducted by an occupational therapist 5-10 years from the award of their PhD or with equivalent professional standing.
Frequency: Biennial. Prize: $500 and framed certificate.

This position paper covers what evidence based practice is, the rationale for using EBP, the different contexts for use and the responsibilities of occupational therapists, employers, and the wider profession for the use of, and contribution to, EBP.
