Have Your Say: Foundational Supports for Children in NSW

The NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is seeking input on its Foundational Supports for Children/Thriving Kids initiative – an important step toward strengthening supports for children, families, and service providers across the state.

DCJ will host a series of webinars in November to gather feedback and insights:

  • Allied Health session: Tuesday 12 November, 6-7:30pm (GMT+11)
  • Open session: Wednesday 20 November, 1-2:30pm (GMT+11)

Occupational Therapy Australia encourages members to attend these sessions and share their perspectives on how foundational supports can best meet the needs of children and families.

In addition to the webinars, DCJ is inviting community feedback through a Have Your Say Survey (approx. 10 minutes to complete). The survey seeks input from parents, carers, service providers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities on:

  • The vision and goals for foundational supports
  • What supports and services are most helpful
  • How and where people would like to access them
