Are you an experienced director looking to make an impact and influence the strategic direction for your professional association?
We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced individuals to contribute their governance skills and expertise as valued Board Directors. This year, there are two member elected Board Director roles available.
About the positions
The Board of Directors plays a vital role in ensuring the organisation remains mission-focused, well-governed, and sustainable. Directors are guardians of purpose, providing strategic oversight and ensuring accountability, without becoming involved in day-to-day operations. The Board is responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring good governance and compliance with legal, regulatory and ethical standards, financial oversight, and risk management. Directors hold the broad purpose of Occupational Therapy Australia in mind and do not represent interest groups or personal agendas. In line with the Constitution, the appointment is a three-year term with a maximum of 3 terms.
To help you understand whether this position is right for you, read our Director’s Guide and Board Role Statement.
